Swedish Massage

A gentle and soothing massage designed to relax muscles, reduce nervous tension,
ans increase circulation to the tissues without raising the heart rate.

Deep Tissue or Sports Massage

Slower strokes and deepening pressure, combined with range-of-motion and
stretching techniques, are used to manipulate the soft tissue of the body to release
tight, restricted area and to break up adhesions caused by injury or repetitive motion
strain.

Massage for Cancer Patients

A very gentle and slow massage treatment that can ease physical pain and decrease
anxiety; shown to reduce depression, fatigue, and nausea. Specific modifications are
made for vital organ involvement, bone metastasis, and bruising issues. During
active cycles of chemotherapy and / or radiation treatment a physician's consent is
recommended.

Myofascial Spreading and Release Techniques

The fascia is the seamless web of connective tissue that covers and connects every
muscle to the skin, skeletal structures, and organs. Injuries, stress, inflammation,
and poor posture can result in restrictions in the fascia causing muscle pain and a
decreased range of motion. This form of body work targets these fascial restrictions.

Pregnancy Massage

Focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be. Treatments enhance relaxation,
improve circulation, and relieve emotional and physical fatigue.

Tension-Tamer

A comforting Swedish massage that concentrates on your neck, shoulders, hands,
and tired feet. Followed by gentle, Asian rocking techniques that induce deep
relaxation.

Infant Massage Instruction

Infant massage has been practiced in many other cultures around the world. Brought
to the United States in the 1970's from India by Vimala McClure, Infant Massage
USA instructors teach parents how to massage their babies. Documented benefits to
infants who receive regular massages from their primary caregivers include:
improved sleep patterns and weight gain, less fussiness, and relief from irritability
and colic.

This technique is usually learned in two home visits of sixty to ninety minutes each.
